Today is Day 9 of our 10 days of prayer and fasting in 2025 our year of completeness.
Proverbs 4:25 (The Message Bible) Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions.
According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, a distraction is something that prevents someone from giving their attention to something else. Proverbs 4:25 above is exhorting us to keep our focus and ignore all sideshow distractions. Distractions will not only make you fail to fulfil God’s will for your love; they will lead you to become mediocre, average, stagnant and spiritually stale.
Distractions make you focus on the lower priority matters at the expense of the higher priority matters. Distractions are tools of deception used by satan and his demonic cohorts to maximum effect to ensure that you waste valuable time, resources and end up living a life of insignificant impact.
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you so that you ignore and cut-off all distractions from your life. Many people are distracted because they dwell on their past.
