INNOVATE AND SOLVE PROBLEMS

Mark 2:21-22 (ESV Bible) No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the patch tears away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear is made. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins—and the wine is destroyed, and so are the skins. But new wine is for fresh wineskins.”
Innovation is the introduction of something new. Innovation is a new idea, method, or device. You must be willing to innovate and come up with new ideas or ways of doing things that provide solutions to the challenges you face either in your personal life or the lives of other people in your world.
In Mark 2:21-22 above our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is making it clear that you need to innovate. You cannot sew a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment otherwise you will cause worse tear to the old garment. You need to find a better, effective way to fix the tear in the old garment. Similarly you cannot put new wine into old wineskins otherwise they will burst and the investment in the wine will be destroyed; you need to innovate.
When you innovate you create new things. God showed us an example of innovation when He solved the terrible state of the world (Genesis 1:1-3).
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was an innovator par excellence by the power of the Holy Spirit; for example, when Peter in his fishing business had toiled all night and caught no fish using old methods that had worked before but now failed Jesus innovated and gave Peter a solution. Our Lord Jesus Christ told Peter not to be a fool and continue fishing as usual but rather it was time for Peter to change and cast the net on the other deeper, more dangerous side where he never previously did any fishing. Peter caught lots of fish when he followed the innovative way of fishing as Jesus instructed him (Luke 5:4-11).
1John 4:17 makes it clear that “…….as He(Jesus) is so are we in this world.”, He was an innovator; therefore, you are an innovator too by the power of the Holy Spirit. Innovate and solve problems.
